Full disclosure.

This is a big swing for me.

Since 2014 I have been on a deep existential journey as a 2nd Generation Filipino-American. When my first son was born, I found myself asking, “When he looks in the mirror, who does he see?” and how much of that have I contributed to.

I grew up in a semi-typical suburban southern Californian life, where I fortunately found a reason to live playing music. Growing up in the Ska/Punk/HC CA scene gave me the majority of my identity, and these past 10 years has been about merging that with food and moments that come from those tables and spaces.

I began re-rooting myself into the Filipino Diaspora, learning to cook filipino foods, and I’ve reached the point where sharing it is of the utmost importance.

There is much to share, learn, and hope for.
